Distracted Driving: Work toward Zero by Making Safety Personal

How do we address transportation safety differently in the workplace to move the needle toward zero? Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of unintentional workplace deaths. Transportation safety can be one of the most important parts of an employer’s health and safety management system, with practical applications that apply on and off the job. This session will focus on driving activities that result in distraction and how a strong safety culture can decrease risk. Best practices will be shared. To broadly address driver behavior and improve safety, we need to look through a different lens and connect workplace policies and procedures with everyday life. Safety is personal.
